Thanks to Cracker Barrel staff for great service to veterans

-

On behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary Unit of the Fleet Reserve Association (LAFRA) Unit 93 of Lexington Park, I would like to recognize the management, general manager Janelle, associate manager James and retail manager Jackie and our two servers, Bianca and Dawn, at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant #572 located at 45315 Abell House Lane in California, Md., for outstanding service and kindness to our veterans.

On Dec. 18, a group of veterans, two in wheelchairs and four using walkers, from Charlotte Hall Veterans Home (CHVH) had the pleasure of attending Tuba Christmas in Solomons Island, and we stopped in the Cracker Barrel afterwards for dinner which was paid for by LAFRA Unit 93. The management had been given a “heads up” beforehand and a call was made to the management when the group of 17, including the bus driver and two aides, was on the way.

When we arrived at the restaurant, they were ready for us and we had the best servers in the world. Bianca and Dawn were very warm, understanding, polite and kind to our veterans. They saw that whatever a veteran needed or wanted was quickly and lovingly supplied. Our veterans had a delightful time and delicious dinner there under the thoughtful loving care of Bianca and Dawn.

Thank you for serving those who served.
