Thanks for making Women’s Fair successful

-

The Charles County Chamber of Commerce is grateful to the many people, businesses and organizations that came together to present the community with a wonderful and enlightening Women’s Fair on Saturday, March 18. We thank event chair Christie Burnett of Spring Dell’s Hooks & Hangers for the countless hours she and her team devoted to this special event. Additionally, we thank our program sponsors: the College of Southern Maryland who hosted the fair; the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center for creating an outstanding Health & Wellness Center during the event; and the Southern Maryland Newspapers/Maryland Independent for providing advertising and program guides. Other sponsors included: Arrow American Pest & Termite Control; Mid-Atlantic Skin Surgery Institute; SLS Ministries; SMECO; and Zonta.

The hallways of CSM were filled with many businesses and organizations serving as exhibitors. For a complete listing of these fine businesses, please visit the chamber’s website at www.charlescountychamber.org and click on the link. You’ll see the entire program to include the exhibitors. We would also be glad to provide you with detailed information on the speakers who shared their expertise and experience in the outstanding breakout sessions. You may also phone the chamber office (301-932-6500) and the information will be provided for you.

Of course no event of this nature is 100 percent successful without a phenomenal keynote speaker. Computer Systems Engineer LaTisha Durham was just that. The theme for the Women’s Fair was “Inspire, Motivate and Educate” and LaTisha accomplished all three.

Throughout the day we were pleased that so many attendees had positive comments to share and felt that their time had been very well spent. Our thanks to all of you for joining us! And, our very special thanks to all of those whose dedication and hard work made the event possible.
