Four men have been arrested in connection with an April armed robbery of a White Plains convenience store.

Nathan Ellsworth Proctor, 34, Anthony Tilden Walls, 23, Daevonn Hill, 25, and Corey Anthony Kelton, 25, all of Waldorf, have been charged in relation to the alleged robbery.

At about 5 a.m. April 18, Charles County Sheriff’s Officers responded to the Dash In located at 4705 Crain Highway in White Plains for a reported armed robbery. According to court documents, four suspects entered the business, one brandishing a shotgun and stole money and merchandise. One of the men shot a display case and fired a round into the ceiling before exiting. The suspects fled in a 2000 Dodge Caravan that was found set ablaze at the end of Padgett Road.

Police investigation revealed that all suspects were wearing blue latex gloves while their faces were covered with unknown garments. On May 19, police were contacted by a citizen who

advised that they heard Proctor and Kelton were both allegedly involved in the robbery at the Dash In. Further probing led CCSO to the immediate location of Proctor and Kelton. Based on evidence they discovered, it was determined Proctor and Kelton were allegedly involved in the robbery.

An anonymous source told police that the other individuals involved in the robbery were Walls and Hill. Through a records management system it was found that Walls was currently incarcerated

at the Charles County Detention Center and also had a cell phone stored at the detention center. In speaking to Det. Duckett and Deputy Gregory, Walls allegedly admitted to being involved in the robbery. Walls was reluctant in identifying the other accomplices, but he eventually identified the gunman as “Corey,” the suspect with the orange garment over his face as “Rell,” and another suspect as “Nate.”

Search warrants were served at the residence

where the four men reportedly lived. According to court documents, a search of the residence and yard revealed several blue latex gloves, consistent with the ones worn by the suspects during the robbery.

Both Proctor and Kelton were arrested. Kelton later reportedly admitted to the shooting during the robbery, according to court documents. Stolen property included 18 packs of Newport cigarettes, a total value of $128.70, and $230 in cash.
