Thomas Carter Proctor “Chuck”

Thomas Carter Proctor “Chuck”, 67, of Waldorf, MD, was born on Nov. 12, 1949. Chuck passed away peacefully at home, on June 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family and friends. After graduating Surrattsvi­lle High School, he was called to serve in the U.S. Army (1969-1971) with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Chuck then chose to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1972 and was honorably discharged from active duty in 1981.

Following his military career, he worked as a mixer and dump truck driver, first for Chaney Enterprise and then with Sonny’s Trucking, LLC, until his illness prevented him from driving.

Chuck leaves to cherish his memor y wife, Elizabeth “Sis” Proctor; daughter, Anita Johnson; grandson, Lomond Johnson II; four sisters; five brothers; five sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; aunts; uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John “Sonny” and Margaret “Tee” Proctor; daughter, Teresita Proctor; and granddaugh­ter, Anicia Johnson.

A memorial ser vice will be held on June 21 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 17502 Aquasco Road, Brandywine, MD. Viewing will be held at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with mass at 12 p.m. Interment at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD, at 1:45 p.m.
