Metropolitan United Methodist hosts soup kitchen Wednesdays
will host Ladles of Love Soup Kitchen 5-7 p.m. Wednesdays at the church, 3385 Metropolitan Church Road, Indian Head. All are encouraged to “eat one; feed one” by taking a meal to someone in your community who may be homeless, disabled, senior citizen, shut-in or without transportation. This chaperoned event allows local middle and high school youths a place to hang out with friends, dance, listen to music, play video games, card games and ping pong, and participate in Open Mic. St. Paul’s Parish to hold chicken dinner and flea market
Baden, will hold a barbecue chicken dinner and indoor flea market June 17 at the church,13500 Baden Westwood Road. Flea market will start at 8 a.m. and dinner will be 11 a.m. until sold out. Dinner includes half a chicken, baked potato, green beans, applesauce and roll. Sodas and water will be available for purchase. There will be a bake sale, 50/50 raffle and raffle for large wind chimes. Need not be present to win raffles.
