Youth tryouts and registrations
Baseball and softball
are looking for travel baseball players from 7-U to 19-U.
Tryouts will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 28, Aug. 11, Aug. 25 and 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Dog Pound, 50 Jibsail Drive, Prince Frederick, and from 9:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 16 and from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 14 at Hallowing Point Park in Prince Frederick.

will hold open tryouts for the 2017-18 season for age groups 10-U, 12-U, 14-U, 16-U and 18-U on Aug. 5, 12 and 19 (rain dates are Aug. 6, 13 and 20, respectively).
Tryouts will occur at Fifth District Park (37880 New Market Turner Road, Mechanicsville) from 10 to 11 a.m. (10U), 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (12-U), 1 to 2:30 p.m. (14-U) and 3 to 4:30 p.m. (16-U and 18-U). Private tryouts available upon request.
Also, a free general skills clinic will occur from 9 to 10 a.m.

Basketball
run by Gwynn Park High School boys basketball coach Mike Glick, for boys 6 to 17 will run in five one-week sessions until July 28 at Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine.

Soccer
for children entering grades 2 to 6 will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. July 24 to 28 at Grace Christian Academy in Waldorf. The cost is $90.
The camp will be led by the Grace Christian Academy coaches and players. It will emphasize fundamentals of the game including dribbling, passing and shooting with opportunities for competition as well. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt. Before and after care is available.
