Crow is a 2012 graduate of Chopticon High School, Morganza. She is the daughter of Becky L. Crow of Bryantown, and niece of Tammy and John Shea of Mechanicsville.
Mccormick graduates training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland
U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jayson E. Mccormick graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Mccormick is a 2008 graduate of Westlake High School, Waldorf. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2014 from University of Maryland, Largo. He is the son of Jay Mccormick of Waldorf.
Miller awarded scholarship at Andrews AFB
Alyssa Miller of Waldorf is a recipient of a $2,000 college scholarship awarded at Andrews AFB. She is enrolled, or plans to enroll, at University of Maryland, College Park. She is the daughter of Lionel and Clara Miller.
The Scholarships for Military Children Program was initiated in 2000 to award scholarships to graduating high school seniors or college-enrolled students. The scholarship program is open to qualified sons and daughters of members of the U.S. Armed Services including active duty, retirees, guard/ reserves, as well as children of deceased military personnel. Applications are turned in through commissaries.

Taylor graduates training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Khanija N. Taylor graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Taylor is the daughter of Earl D. Taylor of Waldorf and Yolanda V. Taylor of Memphis, Tenn., and the granddaughter of Annie Carter of Edwards, Miss. She is a 2013 graduate of Cordova High School, Cordova, Tenn.
Ewing graduates from United States Marine Corps boot camp
Private Brice N. Ewing, 20, of Waldorf, graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot/ Parris Island, SC, on July 28. He successfully completed over 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island; 3rd RTBN, PLT. 3050, Mike Comp. Following 10 days home on leave he reports to Camp LeJeune for Military Combat Training (MCT), then onto Military Occupation Specialty school (MOS). Ewing will be stationed at a PDS following training.
