Tee off at White Plains Golf Course this fall

If you love to golf, come visit the White Plains Golf Course to hit your next great shot. The course, located at 1015 St. Charles Parkway, White Plains, is an 18-hole, par 70 regulation golf course with lots of fun for all.

Enjoy a day with friends and family at the course, no matter your experience level. The White Plains Golf Course features a full driving range, full-service snack bar and grill, putting green, and golf carts and clubs available for rent. There are four sets of tees for all skill levels and abilities, including “Play it Forward” tees for beginners. There are a variety of memberships available to meet every golfer’s need, including junior, senior, and all-inclusive memberships.

Plan a day or two you’d like to stop by. From April to October, the course is open from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to dusk and Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to dusk. From November to March, the course is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to dusk.

Golfers who would like to learn basic golfing skills can participate in the spring and summer golf clinics. There are clinics available for men, women, and juniors. Sessions include proper golf course etiquette, safety, rules, grip, stance, posture, chipping, putting, irons, woods, and on-the-course instruction. Sessions are limited to eight people, so register quickly to save your spot. In additional to the golf clinics, children can sign up for the Junior Golf Program. The yearly program runs from April 1 to March 31 for $200, or the three-month program is in June, July and August for $150. Your child will get hands-on skills, and learn golf skills and techniques. If golf is not your game of choice, round up some friends for an afternoon on the FootGolf course. FootGolf is available afternoons on weekdays and weekends. FootGolf is a combination of soccer and golf; players use a soccer ball and aim to get the ball into an oversized 21-inch hole with the least amount of kicks. FootGolf is limited to four players. Players are encouraged to bring their size 5 soccer ball, but there are soccer balls available for rent. All rates and rules are available at www.CharlesCountyParks.com.
