St. Catherine to host ‘Meals and Hope’

to host Meals and Hope Wednesday, Sept. 26. The Meals and Hope will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the St. Catherine Catholic Church Hall at 7636 Port Tobacco Road in Port Tobacco. New Hope A.M.E. to celebrate family

St. James’ Church to host crab cake dinner

is hosting a ham and crab cake dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. Each dinner is two crab cakes (one for children), ham, carrot salad, parsley potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, tea, coffee, punch and dessert. Accokeek church hosting Bible classes

15821 Livingston Road, is holding its fall semester of its Bible & Leadership Institute starting on Saturday, Sept. 29. Registrati­on is open up to Oct. 6. Sacred Heart offers ‘Country Fixin’s Dinner’

201 St. Mary’s Ave., is hosting its Country Fixin’s Dinner from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30. The buffet (dine in only) includes fried chicken (gluten free on request), pulled pork, crab balls, green beans, parsley potatoes, corn pudding, baked apples/pears, rolls and more. Living Word to host Community Day

Marbury Baptist to host choral ensemble

will host LYRA choral ensemble at 7 p.m., Oct. 5, at the church, 4670 Bicknell Road, Marbury. Christ Church Wayside to host fall dinner

Waldorf church holding Holy Spirit course

100 Village St. in Waldorf, is holding a six-week course titled “The Gift,” a life in the Spirit course. The teachings are rooted in the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
