Clark, Champaign school district cases still over 100

Springfiel­d City Schools records highest total with 21 students out.

Fourteen Clark County and three Champaign County school districts reported new cases of COVID-19, according to the Ohio Department of Health’s COVID19 school district dashboard’s latest update.

In total, 109 students and staff cases were reported between the two counties on Thursday, a slight decrease from last week’s total of 128 cases recorded from the week of Dec. 1-7.

The school districts that reported student and staff cases are as follow:

Catholic Central: nine students, one staff

Clark County Educationa­l Service Center: one staff Clark-Shawnee: one staff Cliff Park High School: one staff

Global Impact STEM Academy: one student

Greenon: four students, one staff

Madison-Champaign Educationa­l Service Center: one staff

Nightingal­e Montessori Inc.: one student

Northeaste­rn: nine students, four staff

Northweste­rn: three students Ridgewood Schools: four students

Southeaste­rn: four students Springfiel­d: 21 students, 14 staff Springfiel­d CTC: nine students, two staff

Tecumseh: nine students, two staff

Triad: two students

Urbana: four students, one staff Cases reported on the dashboard lag one week, meaning cases reported on Thursday were from the week of Dec. 8-14.

The dashboard tracks cases of COVID-19 in all public and private K-12 schools across the state. Data displayed on the board includes all student and staff cases broken into two categories: new and cumulative. The board is updated every Thursday.
