T-Mobile just announced the release of Magenta Max, a new data plan that promises to take advantage of the power of 5G.

Magenta Max is T-Mobile’s new plan that boasts “premium unlimited” data on the company’s 5G network.

Magenta Max launched on Feb. 24 for consumers and small businesses. It replaces the carrier’s Magenta Plus plan.

While cellphone companies have touted plans with unlimited data for years now, T-Mobile is promising Magenta Max will provide the speed and capacity that a powerful 5G network is said to offer.

That means that data throttling due to network congestion could be a thing of the past. Here’s how T-Mobile put it in a press release: “Even if you use 200GB or more, you can’t be slowed down based on how much data you use.”

T-Mobile says the regular price of Magenta Max is $57 per month for three lines with auto pay. Taxes and fees are included. For a limited time, the plan is being offered for $47 per line per month for three lines with auto pay.

T-Mobile has confirmed to Team Clark that a single line on Magenta Max will be $85 a month. That’s the same price as the Magenta

Plus plan, which is going away.

Before you switch, make sure you compare prices first. If T-Mobile’s signal is strong in your area, you can get unlimited talk, text and data with Mint Mobile for $30 a month. Compare your options in Team Clark’s comprehensive cellphone guide on Clark. com.
