The Clark County Emergency Management Agency gave out more than 3,200 free face masks on Wednesday as they continue to remind the community that the county is “not quite at the finish line,” of the pandemic.

“Getting these masks into the community, to the people who need it, removing those barriers so that they can get their masks, it’s pretty important for us in Clark County,” EMA Director Michelle Clements-Pitstick said.

Clements-Pitstick said the mask distribution events are designed to remind residents of the importance of wearing a mask.

“It’s just really important to keep reminding everyone that we are just not quite to the finish line yet. We’re getting close, but we still need to continue to wear those masks,” Clements-Pitstick said. “Keep wearing your masks and keep signing up to get your vaccine.”

The EMA hosted two distribution events on Wednesday and will host another on Thursday. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Burnett Plaza Shopping Center located at 440 S. Burnett Rd.

At all three events, each household receives a box of 50 disposable face masks.

“All they need to do is drivethru and we’ll hand them a box of masks per household while supplies last,” Clements-Pitstick said. “No identification. Nothing is needed.”

Masks are also available for pick up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily at the EMA’s office located near the Clark County Sheriff ’s Office East District office at the Springview Government Center at 3130 E. Main St.

Daycare centers, non-profit organizations, home healthcare agencies and other Clark County entities in need of PPE can email mclements-pitstick@clarkcountyohio.gov or call 937-521-2176 if they are in need of masks.
