VACCINES IN OHIO
Who can sign up now? Ohioans 50 and older and those with type 2 diabetes and end-stage renal disease will be eligible for the vaccine.
Under Phase 1C, people who are living with type 1 diabetes, pregnant, a bone marrow transplant recipient or living with ALS; or are working in childcare services, funeral services or law enforcement and corrections are eligible to be vaccinated.
Under Phase 1B, K-12 school staff and residents with severe congenital, developmental or earlyonset and inherited conditions, including cerebral palsy; spina bifida; severe congenital heart disease requiring hospitalization within the past year; severe type 1 diabetes requiring hospitalization within the past year; inherited metabolic disorders including phenylketonuria; severe neurological disorders including epilepsy, hydrocephaly and microcephaly; severe genetic disorders including Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, PraderWilli syndrome, Turner syndrome and muscular dystrophy; severe lung disease, including asthma requiring hospitalization within the past year and cystic fibrosis; sickle cell anemia; alpha and beta thalassemia; and solid organ transplant patients. Who is vaccinated so far: As of Monday, 2,390,412 people in Ohio (20.45% of the population) have been given at least one dose and 1,396,736 people in Ohio (11.95% of the population) have completed their vaccination.
