SPRINGFIELD WEIGHING CONTRACT AND PURCHASES
Springfield City Commissioners to consider several items during virtual meeting Tuesday.
Springfield City Commissioners will be asked Tuesday to weigh in on several items including those related to an infrastructure project, land, vehicle purchases as well as state funds.
Commissioners will have their public meeting Tuesday at 2 p.m., and it will be virtual.
During that time, commissioners will be asked to allow for an amendment to an engineering agreement with Carpenter Marty Transportation, Inc., that relates to the 2022 Miscellaneous Sewer Improvements Project.
The amendment calls to increase the agreement in the amount of $53,858 for a total agreement amount not to exceed $96,110.
Commissioners will also be asked to authorize the city manager to apply for and accept funds from the Ohio Department of Transpiration in the amount of $83,508 from the Rides to Community Immunity Grant Program.
A first reading will be conducted related to a Cropland Lease Agreement with Joseph Agle to lease a little more than 74 acres at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport, of which 42.933 acres are tillable farmland.
Another first reading will focus on the authorizing of a purchase order related to two Stainless
Steel Dump Bodies, including bed covers and road temperature sensors, from K.E. Rose Co. for an amount not to exceed $183,390.
Commissioners will also discuss the authorization of the city manager to submit a 2021 action plan of the city of Springfield to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The virtual meeting can be viewed on the city’s YouTube channel. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, in-person attendance is prohibited.
