The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World, 8 PM on Ch. 22 and Ch. 9:

Whoopi Goldberg hosts this new two-hour special, which celebrates the 50th anniversar­y of the Walt Disney World resort in Florida, charting a timeline of that perenniall­y popular family destinatio­n that spans half a century.

Among other highlights, the special includes musical numbers by Christina Aguilera and Halle Bailey, star of the new Disney live-action remake of

“The Little Mermaid,” performed in front of the iconic Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom, accompanie­d by the Orlando Philharmon­ic Orchestra.

Selling the Big Easy, 9 PM on HGTV; 12 AM on HGTV:

Real estate agent Brittany Picolo-ramos returns for Season 2 of her popular home show, in which she helps potential homebuyers find their dream home in historic New Orleans. In the season premiere, Brittany tries to help first-time home buyer Kristabell­e and her daughter look for a place to call their own in the Uptown area of New Orleans. Later, Brittany and her team stage a beautifull­y renovated home for another of their clients. Another episode immediatel­y follows.

Eli Roth’s History of Horror, 10 PM on AMC; 3 AM on AMC:

Whatever the genre, most follow-ups to hit films inevitably fall short of the original, but there are exceptions to that rule. As this docuseries returns for Season 3 with a premiere called “Sequels That Don’t Suck,” host Eli Roth talks with filmmakers, actors and fans about horror sequels that in some respects they find are as good as or even better than the original. Among the films considered are “Nightmare on Elm Street 3” and “Bride of Chucky.”
