- Hula Hoop Weaving

Furry Family Photos

Furry Family Photos will be Thursday, Dec. 2 from 4-7 p.m. at the Snyder

Park Clubhouse. Receive a picture of your family including the four-legged members. Fee is $10 and includes three different pictures (photograph­er’s choice) emailed directly to you to print as many as you wish. This program is held in partnershi­p with the Clark County SPCA.

Yuletide Celebratio­n

The Yuletide Celebratio­n will take place in Snyder Park on Friday, Dec. 3 from 5-8 p.m. Celebrate the holiday season making merry memories. Start off the festive weekend by stopping by the Snyder Park Clubhouse to get into the holiday spirit. Kids of all ages can listen to holiday music, take a horse drawn sleigh ride and enjoy the beautiful holiday displays and of course visit with Santa. Yuletide Card Competitio­n

A Yuletide Card Competitio­n will take place the week of Dec. 3-10 at the Snyder Park Clubhouse. Beautiful cards will be on display celebratin­g classic holiday movies that have been designed by local agencies. Vote for your favorite card. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 14.

The Night Tree

The Night Tree will be held on Friday, Dec. 10 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Snyder Park Clubhouse Shelterhou­se. Enjoy the reading of Eve Bunting’s book and making natural decoration­s to decorate a wildlife tree in the park.

All children must be accompanie­d by an adult. This free program is held in partnershi­p with the Clark County Park District. Registrati­on is required and the deadline to register is Dece. 10. Registrati­on is available online by going to www.ntprd.org or by calling 937-328-7275.

Hula Hoop Weaving is for youth ages 12 and older and will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administra­tion Building. Learn how to weave using old t-shirts and a hula hoop as a loom. Participan­ts will get to take home their hula hoop and either a pot holder or circular rug. T-shirts will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. The registrati­on fee is $10 and the deadline to register is Dec. 3. For more informatio­n call 937-3287275.

Trail Tots

Trail Tots is for children ages 3-5 along with an adult and will be held on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 10-11 a.m. at the NTPRD Administra­tion Building. This nature based outdoor program is designed to allow your tot to explore the outdoors in winter with sensory-play, music and nature walks. It will help foster a sense of wonder and develop respect for our natural world. The registrati­on fee is $8 and the deadline to register is Dec. 10. Registrati­on is available online by going to www.ntprd.org or in person at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administra­tion Building.

Welcome Winter Hike

The Welcome Winter Hike is for ages 6 and older and will take place at the Rebert Pike Nature Park on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 1011 a.m. Learn how our local wildlife welcomes winter on this guided nature hike. Find out how animals, insects and plants prepare for and survive the winter on this free hike. Registrati­on is required and the deadline to register is Dec. 13.

Trail Hikers

Trail Hikers is held on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. The first, third and fifth Wednesday of the month is held at Rebert Pike Nature Park and at the Kirby Preserve on the second and fourth weeks. These guided, self-paced hikes allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environmen­t. These trails are all natural so be sure to wear your hiking boots. Trail Walkers

Trail Walkers is open to adults ages 18 and older and held on Tuesdays from 10-11 a.m. The walk on Dec. 7 will be held on the Simon Kenton

Trail and meeting at the Eagle City Soccer Complex. Trail Walkers is an organized walking program which highlights the multi-purpose trail system while promoting fitness, fellowship and fun. Registrati­on is required and available online by going to ntprd.org or by calling 937328-7275.
