Upcoming Programs at the Clark County Public Library Events at the Clark County Public Library the Week of Dec. 5 include:

Main Library

■ Little Blossoms Storytime: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday - This storytime engages babies and toddlers with books and learning through stories, music, movement and a simple craft idea to

help develop fine motor skills. For ages birth to 2.5 years. Held in the Gaier Room.

■ Little Sprouts Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday - Led by a profession­al staff librarian, this storytime prepares preschoole­rs for later reading success through interactiv­e stories, songs, rhymes, a craft idea and other fun activities to promote early literacy. For ages 3-5. Held in the Gaier Room.

■ Coding Club: 6 p.m. Wednesday - Have you ever wanted to learn how to code? Join in in the Lenski Program Room where we

will work together to solve coding challenges. (Ages 7-12)

■ LEGO Club: 6 p.m. Thursday - Create your themed LEGO masterpiec­e to be displayed in the Lenski Department. The Library

will supply the bricks and you supply the imaginatio­n! Meet in the Gaier Room. (Ages 5-12)

■ Piece By Piece - Adults: library hours – rotating puzzle. Come spend as much or as little time to help put together this community project. The puzzle will remain until it has been completed. A new puzzle will be selected to replace it.

■ Take and Make Snowflake: library hours – Dec. 1 – Dec. 22 - Stop by to pick up supplies and directions to make a snowflake to hang in your window or on a tree. For ages 6 and up while supplies last.

■ Mission: Spot the Christmas Elf: library hours – Dec. 1 – Dec. 22 - Can you spot the elf in the library? He insists that to maintain his magic he shouldn’t be touched or moved. Children ages 2-12 can tell a staff member they have spotted the elf and receive a holiday tattoo.

■ Toddler Storytime: 10 a.m. Wednesday - A library awareness program to acquaint your child with the wonderful world of books. Most storytimes are theme-based and will include music and movement along

with a simple craft. For ages 2-3.

■ Preschool Storytime: 11 a.m. Wednesday - A library awareness program to acquaint your child with the wonderful world of books. Most storytimes are theme-based and will include music and movement along with a simple craft. For ages 4-5.

■ Teen Christmas Fun: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 6-9 - Stop in to make a hand-crafted Christmas card or Christmas tree ornament to give to the favorite person on your list. And receive a treat! For ages 13-18.

■ Sweet Christmas Fun: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 6 p.m., Dec. 6-8 - Stop in to make a Gingerbrea­d Man Christmas tree ornament, play Christmas games and receive a treat. Ages 2-12.

■ Storytimes: 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Thursday - Introduces toddlers and preschoole­rs to books, rhymes, music and crafts, and teaches them how to interact with other children

their age. Ages 2 and 3 at 10 a.m. and ages 4 and 5 at 11 a.m. Children must have a parent or caregiver with them. Space is limited. Please call the branch to register.

■ Take and Make Christmas

Craft: Dec. 1-Dec. 22 - Drop by and take home a kit to make a cute Christmas tree picture from recycled paper. All paper materials provided for ages 6 and up. Limited to 1 kit per child.

■ Storytime: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Thursday - Together we will share stories, sing, move to music and make a craft. It’s a perfect chance to learn how to interact with other children ages 2-5. Parent or caregiver must be present with each child.
