Class of ’22 truly deserves to be celebrated

-

As we wind down the school year, there are many celebrations for Graham Local Schools. As we prepare to send off the Class of 2022 we reflect back through the year on the many unique and outstanding experiences.

The senior class of 2022 has truly had a unique high school experience. From going through the entire pandemic, transitioning to more classwork being completed online, to modifying the way we hold events and activities, this class has persevered.

In many ways these experiences have prepared them for their next steps and the flexibility needed to navigate through life.

The 2022 graduating Falcons have exhibited true leadership for our schools and community. Whether it is a CBC title in athletics, a superior rating by our outstanding band and choir, or the many awards earned in FCCLA, FFA and BPA, our seniors have led the way and demonstrated characteristics that will make them successful in life.

As we prepare to celebrate with this group, we have had exciting days and several more are approaching. May 11 was “Signing Day” for our seniors, where they have the opportunity to commit to college, the armed forces or the workplace. Senior Fest is May 15, Senior Honors night is May 16 and, finally, we celebrate the 2022 Graduating Class at Dallas Stadium on May 20.

Graham seniors have earned over $1.3 million for their college careers! This demonstrates the incredible perseverance and dedication from our students. We will surely miss this group, but wish them the absolute best as they move forward in their lives. Congratulations Graham Class of 2022!

At Graham Elementary, students recently had an outstanding performance of the musical “Twinderella.” Along with many other in-person opportunities, such as field trips, Grandparents Day and our first annual Preschool 100th day fashion show!

Our students and staff have enjoyed being able to return to doing some of the activities they love.

Graham Middle School has had many students participating and been successful in recent FFA competitions. The A.B Graham Ohio Hi-point Middle School FFA General livestock judging team consisting of Jack Traylor, Madi Dunham, Shannon Stahler, Payton Maurice, Maci Runkle and Grace Bowers earned first place in the state contest. They competed against 39 other middle school teams.

The end of the year is approaching quickly and we appreciate the support for our students from our teachers, staff, families and community. Have a safe and relaxing summer.
