Garlic Mustard Challenge
The Garlic Mustard Challenge takes place through May 20. Help restore and protect our native ecosystem with this fun challenge. Garlic mustard is an aggressive nonnative plant taking over natural areas. Get out into the parks and remove this invasive plant. Each registered individual or team, up to four people, collecting and submitting five full 30-gallon trash bags of garlic mustard will receive a t-shirt. Garlic mustard information is available at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Building or at ntprd.org. Bring your secured 30-gallon trash bags of garlic mustard to the NTPRD Administration Building by May 20 and place them in the marked space in the front of the building. Kids to Parks Day
Kids to Parks Day is Saturday, May 21. Kids to Parks Day encourages kids and families to get outside and enjoy local parks and outdoor experiences. Three fun free activities will be offered in celebration of Kids to Parks Day at National Trail Parks and Recreation Districts local parks. Registration for the Kids to Parks Day programs is available online by going to ntprd.org or by calling 937-328-7275.
Family Fishing Fun
Family Fishing Fun is for all ages and will be held on Kids to Parks Day, Saturday, May 21 from 8:30 - 10 a.m. at Old Reid Park. Participants will receive bait and snacks. Kids who participate in the Fish ID game will receive a prize. Program is free and registration is required by May 18.
Stream Exploration Walk
A Stream Exploration Walk is for youth ages 5-13 will be held on Saturday, May 21 from 10-11 a.m. at Old Reid Park. Explore the streams and riparian zones and learn about the animals and plants found there. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a stream study. A parent or guardian must accompany the child. This walk is free and the deadline to register is May 18. For more information call the National Trail Parks and Recreation District at 937-3287275.
Choose Your Own Adventure Hike
A choose your own adventure hike will be held at Rebert Pike Nature Park on Saturday, May 18 from dawn to dusk. This hike is part of Kids to Parks Day. Follow the signs leading you along and adventure on the trails. You will come across signs that will prompt you to choose which direction to go.

Sports Sampler Camp
Sports Sampler Camp is for youth ages 5-8 and will be held June 6-9 from 2-4 p.m. at Snyder Park. Learn a little about a lot of different sports. The camp will use fun games and drills to teach the basics of baseball, soccer, tennis, and flag football. The registration fee is $50 and the deadline to register is May 31. Trail Tots Camp
Trail Tots Camp is for children ages 3-5 (toilet trained) and will be held June 6-10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Campers will participate in fun-filled age appropriate, nature themed activities during this week long camp. Activities will include arts and crafts, music, dancing, and outdoor games. Health Nuts
Health Nuts is for youth ages 7-12 and will be held on Fridays, June 10, 17, 24 and July 1 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Snyder
Park Clubhouse Shelter House. Health Nuts combines health and environmental education through fun outdoor activities and healthy eating topics. Participants will learn to appreciate nature and the great outdoors with all its health benefits. Health Nuts is a collaboration between NTPRD and the Ohio State University Extension, Clark County Family & Consumer Sciences. The program is free and made possible by a grant from the Community Health Foundation. Outdoor Yoga Flow
Outdoor Yoga Flow will begin a summer session on Tuesday, June 7 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Snyder Park. This 4-week outdoor session of Vinyasa begins with mindful breathing and warm-ups before moving through seated, standing and balancing poses. Vinyasa is a movement-based form of yoga, which focuses on flowing with the breath while reducing stress and increasing flexibility. Most postures can be modified for those with physical limitations. Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is held on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. These guided, self-paced hikes allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. The hike on May 25 will be held at the Kirby Preserve at Old Reid Park. These trails are all natural so be sure to wear your hiking boots. Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers is a walking program, which highlights the multi-purpose trail system while promoting fitness, fellowship and fun. These guided selfpaced walks will get you moving outdoors while you learn more about our local trails. Walkers must complete a yearly registration before their first walk. Registration is available online by going to ntprd.org, in person at the National Trail Parks and Recreation Administration Building or by calling 937-3287275. The walk on May 24 will be held from 10-11 a.m. on the Buck Creek Trail and meeting at Old Reid Park.
Trail Riders
Trail Riders is for adults ages 18 and older and is held on Mondays at 10:00 am. This guided cycling program promotes health and recreation while exploring Clark County’s local bike trails. These paced rides are 9-12 mph. Helmets are required.
Riders must complete a yearly registration form before their first ride. The ride on May 23 will meet at the Beatty Station Parking area Parking area to ride the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Registration is available online at ntprd.org or by calling 937-328-7275.
Splash Zone Waterpark
Splash Zone Waterpark opens for the season on May 28 from noon to 7 p.m. Season Passes and Fitness Passes are available for purchase. Go to ntprd.org for more information.
