Outdoor Yoga Flow
Outdoor Yoga Flow will begin a summer session on Tuesday, June 7 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Snyder Park. This 4-week outdoor session of Vinyasa begins with mindful breathing and warm-ups before moving through seated, standing and balancing poses. Vinyasa is a movement-based form of yoga, which focuses on flowing with the breath while reducing stress and increasing flexibility. Most postures can be modified for those with physical limitations. Sports Sampler Camp
Sports Sampler Camp is for youth ages 5-8 and will be held June 6-9 from 2-4 p.m. at Snyder Park. Learn a little about a lot of different sports. The camp will use fun games and drills to teach the basics of baseball, soccer, tennis, and flag football. The registration fee is $50 and the deadline to register is May 31. Trail Tots Camp
Trail Tots Camp is for children ages 3-5 (toilet trained) and will be held June 6-10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Campers will participate in fun-filled age appropriate, nature themed activities during this week long camp. Activities will include arts and crafts, music, dancing, and outdoor games. Health Nuts
Health Nuts is for youth ages
7-12 and will be held on Fridays, June 10, 17, 24 and July 1 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Snyder
Park Clubhouse Shelter House. Health Nuts combines health and environmental education through fun outdoor activities and healthy eating topics. Participants will learn to appreciate nature and the great outdoors with all its health benefits. Health Nuts is a collaboration between NTPRD and the Ohio State University Extension, Clark County Family & Consumer Sciences. The program is free and made possible by a grant from the Community Health Foundation. Growing Herbs
Growing Herbs is offered on Wednesday, June 15 from 6-7 p.m. at the NTPRD Administration Building. Learn how to grow herbs and use them in the garden or container. Participants will plant a small herb container to take home and learn the basics on how to take care of them. The registration fee is $15 and the deadline to register is June 10. Trail Tots
Trail Tots is for children ages 3-5, along with a parent or guardian, and held on Thursday, June 16 from 10-11 a.m. at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Trail
Tots is a nature-based outdoor program. Explore and learn outdoors with gardening, sensory play, music and nature walks.
The registration fee is $8 and the deadline to register is June 13. Registration is available online by going to ntprd.org or by calling 937-328-7275.
Tennis Lessons
Tennis Lessons are offered for youth ages 8-12 and 13-17 years starting the week of June 6 - 9 at the Global Impact STEM
Academy Courts. Lessons for ages 8-12 offer AM sessions from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. and PM sessions from 6-7 p.m. Lessons for teens ages 13-17 are available 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 7-8 .pm. Participants will learn the rules and etiquette of tennis along with the fundamentals of the game. Participants should come dressed to play with tennis shoes, tennis racquet if they have one, and water bottle. The registration fee is $45 and the deadline to register is May 31. Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is held on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. These guided, self-paced hikes allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. The hike on May 25 will be held at the Kirby Preserve at Old Reid Park. These trails are all natural so be sure to wear your hiking boots. Trail Walkers
Trail Walkers is a walking program, which highlights the multi-purpose trail system while promoting fitness, fellowship and fun. These guided selfpaced walks will get you moving outdoors while you learn more about our local trails. Walkers must complete a yearly registration before their first walk. The walk on May 31 will be held from 10-11 a.m. on the Buck Creek Trail and meeting at the Carleton Davidson Stadium. Trail Riders
Trail Riders is for adults ages 18 & older and is held on scheduled Mondays at 10 a.m. This guided cycling program promotes health and recreation while exploring Clark County’s local bike trails. These paced rides are 9-12 mph. Helmets are required.
Riders must complete a yearly registration form before their first ride. The ride on June 7 will meet at Eagle City Soccer Complex to ride on the Simon Kenton Trail. Registration is available online at ntprd.org or by calling 937-3287275.
Splash Zone Waterpark
Splash Zone Waterpark opens for the season on May 28 from noon to 7 pm. Season Passes and Fitness Passes are available for purchase. Go to ntprd.org for more information.
