Saturday, June 18

■ 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. First Baptist congregati­on will celebrate Juneteenth with the community at Gammon House on Piqua Place. There will be face painting and free water available at the booth.

Sunday, June 19

■ 9 a.m. St. John’s Lutheran Church, 27 N. Wittenberg Ave., Springfiel­d, will have Sanctuary Service featuring a large sanctuary that has plenty of room for social distancing. The Rainbow Table lunch is held on Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. (everyone welcome). The Food Pantry is open every 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 9 to 10:45 a.m. and closed the first Wednesday of each month. The Food Pantry will be CLOSED the entire month of June and will reopen Wednesday, July 6. The Outreach Thrift Store is open Tuesday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations accepted during open hours.

■ 10 a.m. First Baptist Church of Springfiel­d is worshiping in church at 638 South Fountain Ave. with social distancing and CDC guidelines being observed. The second Sunday after Pentecost is celebrated with a message by Pastor Adam Banks on the subject Our Gifts: Specificit­y. Special music will be provided by the Ladies Trio with Joyce Webb, Jan Kushmaul and Clara Copeland. Wes Babian will lead the singing of the hymns. The service is also available on-line live at 10 a.m. through the church website www.firstbapti­stspringfi­eld.org, or any time thereafter. 11 a.m. Children’s Sunday school will be held. Also, at 11 a.m. the Adult Forum will meet in the church lounge for a discussion of community issues led by Warren Copeland and

■ 10 a.m. Northridge United Methodist Church, 4610 Derr Rd., will gather for worship both in person and on Facebook. In the coming days: the Quilting and Sewing group will meet on Monday at 10 a.m.; the Caregivers Support Group will meet Tuesday at 4 p.m.; the Bible Study will meet on Wednesday at 11 a.m.; and the Walking Group will meet Wednesday and Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

■ 9 a.m. Walkers will convene at First Baptist Church, 638 S. Fountain Ave., for a neighborho­od clean-up walk. Walkers gather in the parking lot of the church. Bags and gloves are provided. All are welcome for physical exercise and socializat­ion.
