Seek and Find – Bats:

Can you find the images of bats hidden around the Lenski Children’s Center? See the staff person at the desk for a prize after you’ve found them all. Ages 3-18 (and still in school).
Spooky Short Story Contest: Submissions accepted September 5 – October 9
Children between the ages of 6 and 18 who are residents of Clark County may submit their original story to spookystories@ccplohio. org. More details are available at wwwccplohio.org. Winners will be invited to a program on October 25th to share their stories.
Little Blossoms Storytime: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday
This storytime engages babies and toddlers with books and learning through stories, music, movement and a simple craft idea to help develop fine motor skills. For ages birth to 2.5 years. Held in the Gaier Room.
Little Sprouts Storytime:
10:30 a.m. Tuesday
Led by a professional staff librarian, this storytime prepares preschoolers for later reading success through interactive stories, songs, rhymes, a craft idea and other fun activities to promote early literacy. For ages 3-5. Held in the Gaier Room.
Hiit to be Fit:

Join Marian Plank (NASM, CPT, CNC) for a free full body workout combining elements of strength and cardio set to a fun, upbeat soundtrack. Bring yourself and a mat! For adults in the Gaier Room.
Manhattan Short Film Festival: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday

Preschool Yoga Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Friday
Join us for stories incorporating basic yoga, movement and meditation. Led by staff for preschool age children with their guardian in the Gaier Room.
Rose City Roleplayers: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday
You will be shown the ins and outs of tabletop roleplaying games in this bi-weekly meetup in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2. For adults 18 and over (out of high school).
PNC Mobile Learning Adventure: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday
Mobile Learning Adventure is a traveling exhibit which provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about the importance of early childhood education while they engage in fun activities with their children. This will be located outside on the west side of the property near the Center Street Entrance. If inclement weather, it will be inside in the Gaier Room.
Community of Crafters-tatters: 10 a.m. – noon Thursday
Share ideas and knowledge and problem-solve with others. You may even participate in a service project. Feel free to bring one of your current projects to work on. For adults.
Gentle Read Book Club: 6:30 p.m. Thursday

This program will give you the basics to work on a double-thick potholder in a three-part beginner’s crochet program. Call for a full list of necessary supplies. For teens/adults. Registration is required.

Together we will share stories, sing, move to music and make a craft. It’s a perfect chance to learn how to interact with other children ages 2-5. Parent or caregiver must be present with each child.
