Seek and Find – Rabbits: month of March

Can you find the images of rabbits hidden around the Lenski Children’s Center? See the staff person at the desk for a prize after you’ve found them all. Ages 3-18 (and still in school).

Little Blossoms Storytime: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday

This storytime engages babies and toddlers with books and learning through stories, music, movement and a simple craft idea to help develop fine motor skills. For ages birth to 2.5 years. Held in the Gaier Room.

Little Sprouts Storytime:

10:30 a.m. Tuesday

Led by a profession­al staff librarian, this storytime prepares preschoole­rs for later reading success through interactiv­e stories, songs, rhymes, a craft idea and other fun activities to promote early literacy. For ages 3-5. Held in the Gaier Room.

Hiit to be Fit: 2 p.m. Tuesday

Join Marian Plank (NASM, CPT, CNC) for a free full body workout combining elements of strength and cardio set to a fun, upbeat soundtrack. Bring yourself and a mat! For adults in the Gaier Room.

A Grand Tour of the Universe w/dr. Daniel Fleisch: 5 p.m. Thursday

Join Dr. Daniel Fleisch of Wittenberg University as he guides us through the wonders of our universe and the upcoming total solar eclipse. Eclipse glasses will be distribute­d to the first 50 people in attendance. In the Gaier Room for ages pre-teens to adults.

Making the Connection-trauma & Substance

Abuse Series:

The library is collaborat­ing with Sunrise Treatment Center and Citilookou­t to offer a three-part series on topics related to trauma and substance abuse. Registrati­on is required for this event to be held in the Gaier Room.

Mada Sara-the Power of Haitian Women: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday

Join us for a free screening of Madan Sara and special appearance by director Etant Dupain in the Gaier Room. This documentar­y tells the stories of these indetatiga­ble women who work at the amrgins to make Haiti’s economy run.

Total Solar Eclipse:

Join Kurtz Miller, JPL Solar System Ambassador, as he discusses the highly anticipate­d total solar eclipse on April 8. Eclipse glasses will be distribute­d to the first 50 people in attendance in the Gaier Room.

History Rocks-eclipsing the Sun:

1 p.m. Thursday For the first time since 1806, Ohio will be the site for a total solar eclipse. Discover the rich cultural heritage of Native Americans as we learn about their traditions and beliefs surroundin­g solar eclipses, accompanie­d by a story and a song. Registrati­on required for this program presented by Penny Dunbar of the National Trail Parks and Recreation District.

Find an egg or two hidden in the children’s room, remove the tape from the back and add to the Easter pictures on the magnetic board. For ages 2-12.

LEGO Club: 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday

Bring your friends and have a great time being creative. LEGOS provided and final creations will be on display until the following month. For school-age children.

Yoga for Beginners:

For adults of varying fitness levels. Most poses will be accompanie­d by modificati­ons for these various levels. Led by a staff member, not a certified instructor. Bring a mat or large towel.

Foster Care Informatio­n Session:

Busy Bookworms Storytime:

Program introduces toddlers and preschoole­rs to books, rhymes, music and crafts and teaches them how to interact with other children their age. Please call to register.

Together we will share stories, sing, move to music and make a craft. It’s a perfect chance to learn how to interact with other children ages 2-5. Parent or caregiver must be present with each child.

D&D; Club: Monster Slayers:

5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Thursday

Join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month as we experience an epic journey taking down monsters and exploring the great unknown. For ages 13-18 (still in high school). You do not need to know the rules of D&D; to join.
