Race: 146th state House District Party: Republican Stamford Republican George Hallenbeck is running a quiet campaign for Stamford’s 146th state House District.

The 78-year-old retiree is active in the city’s coastal community, working with low-income students and the greater community as part of the local chapter of United States Power Squadrons.

Hallenbeck has publicly expressed his support for policies enacted under President Donald Trump, saying that the lower taxes implemente­d by the Trump administra­tion bolster entreprene­urship.

The candidate ran unopposed during the Republican primary in August.

Hallenbeck lives in Shippan with wife, Grace.
