Now is an exciting time at Benchmark Senior Living assisted living and Mind and Memory Care communities throughout Connecticut, as we continue our roll-out of COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics. In partnership with CVS Health and under the guidance of nationally-known physicians and researchers who comprise our Benchmark Coronavirus Advisory Council, we are offering the vaccine to all our residents and associates.
Making it possible for our Benchmark communities to have access to the COVID-19 vaccine and educating them about it are some of the many ways we’ve worked over the last year to continue to Be the Benchmark for senior care. We remain committed to remaining vigilant in the precautions we have taken over the past 11 months. These procedures include, but are not limited to the following:
Providing Social Engagement
Helping our residents remain connected to their interests and each other with enriching small group and individual programs.
Keeping it Clean
Caring for our residents using infection prevention practices, cleaning and disinfecting and using advanced air filtration.
Maintaining Open Dialog
Continuing regular, transparent communication with both our residents and their family members.
Offer Short-Term Winter Respite Care Program
Managing the uncertainties of today and winter worries has made this a challenging time for many older adults and their loved ones. Our associates who have been Called to Care are committed to supporting our residents now more than ever.
Our short-term winter respite care program helps ensure that older adults in need of help with daily living activities or have memory impairment have what they need this season. Whether they stay with us for 14 days or longer*, they will be cared for by individuals who are hired for heart, specially trained and committed to our shared purpose of transforming lives through human connection.
