Frank P. Guglielmo, Sr., “Frankie Gugs” age 85 of Fairfield, passed away February 26, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Frank was born in Stamford, December 16, 1935, son of the late Joseph and Antoinette Rello Guglielmo. Frank was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War attaining the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Frank worked as an oil burner technician for Petro Service for several years until his retirement. He was an avid New York Mets fan. Back in his hay-day, he enjoyed playing softball, and bocce. He is survived by his children Lisa Vento, Jill Signorile, Dana Guglielmo, Frank Guglielmo, Jr., Joseph Guglielmo (Holly), and Anne Marie Marcinczyk (Chad), his grandchild­ren Zachary and Amy Vento, Jake and John Signorile, Alexa and Griffin Marcinczyk, his great-grandchild­ren Magnolia “Maggie” Tartaglia, and Anthony Vento, his loving companion Beatrice Sniffen, who he enjoyed attending bingo with and he felt the occasional win at bingo wasn’t bad either. He was also survived by his sister-in-law Jo Romaniello (Chuck Sawabini), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predecease­d by his wife Janice Romaniello Guglielmo, his brother Joseph Guglielmo, and his sister Angela “ReRe” Caruso. Graveside services will be held Tuesday March 2, 2021 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull followed by Full Military Honors. The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton has been entrusted with arrangemen­ts.
