Fashion designer Withley Verdiner swings by Greenwich, musician Crispin Cioe in Fairfield

Scene… Tony’s at the J House hosted a fashion show in celebratio­n of Internatio­nal Women’s Day on March 14. “Women Empower Hour” hosted by fashion designer and celebrity stylist Withley Verdiner of Saks Fifth Avenue and Michelle Zumbo featured an evening of social networking, great food, a DJ and giveaways and a fashion show by designer Alonso Maximo.

Out there… The Greenwich Town Party has announced the performers for this year's event slated for May 27 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. This year’s Town Party will host the "Preservati­on Hall Super Jam," a collaborat­ion of the best of New Orleans music featuring the Preservati­on Hall Jazz Band, Wyclef Jean, Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, Ivan Neville, Irma Thomas, Cyril Neville, George Porter, Jr., Eric Krasno, Raymond Weber, Tony Hall, Celisse, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, The Revivalist­s, Mavis Staples and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The ticket lottery for the event is now open and will run through April 7. Lottery winners will be randomly chosen and notified the week of April 10. All lottery entries submitted will be verified for Greenwich residency or employment. Neighbor and sponsor ticket levels are also available for purchase. Scene… Musician Crispin Cioe performed to a packed house at the Horseshoe Cafe in Southport on March 13 with fellow musicians Bill Nollman, Ed Wright and Barry Urich. Cioe, a renowned saxophonis­t, music director, bandleader and composer has played with the likes of James Brown, Darlene Love, Solomon Burke, the Rolling Stones and Usher.

Out there… SPLURGE on Lewis Street in Greenwich is hosting its 16th annual Easter Basket Drive to support Kids in Crisis and The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. Owner Sonia Sotire

Scene… Actor and Bedford Corners, N.Y. resident Billy Baldwin, known for "Flatliners" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," and actor Jeremy Sisto, known for HBO’s “Six Feet Under” and NBC’s “Law & Order,” were seen having dinner at TRUCK in Bedford, N.Y. on March 11.

Scene… Actor and former Rockland County resident Bill Murray was seen at the UConn Huskies men's basketball game against Iona University at the MVP Arena in Albany. Murray’s son Luke is assistant basketball coach for the team. He was also spotted in Las Vegas when the Huskies defeated Arkansas.

Out there… Greenwich Restaurant Week 2023 takes place March 27 through April 2. An opening night party will take place at the J House in Riverside on March 28, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. featuring over 40 restaurant­s and bars with bites from local restaurant­s
