William F. Markey, Jr.

William F. Markey, Jr., formerly of Den Road, Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully in Spring, Texas, on November 25, 2022. Born in Stamford on January 16, 1946, he was the son of the late William F. Markey, Sr. and Katherine Ginter Markey. Mr. Markey graduated Stamford Catholic High School in 1964 and then graduated Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama with a B.S. in Psychology. Subsequent­ly, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Pharmacolo­gy degree. He entered Naval Air Schools Command in Pensacola, Florida after being 1 of 2 chosen on the entire east coast by the school. There he trained to be a jet combat pilot. He resigned with a commission and moved to Mission Viejo, California where he was a Clinical Pharmacist D for Saddleback Valley Hospital and, before he retired, CVS. Mr. Markey lived in Mission Viejo for 37 years before moving to The Woodlands in Texas. He was involved in golfing and belonged to several private golf clubs in California. He also was an avid stamp, baseball card and coin collector. In addition, Mr. Markey was also a published book author by IUniverse, Bloomingto­n, Indiana. His first book is entitled: “TO LOVE AGAIN… .A Life Destined by Fate.”

He was survived by his wife, Stephanie, who has since passed away March 9, 2023. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Krichmar, of The Woodlands, Texas; a son, Christophe­r of Austin, Texas; 2 granddaugh­ters, Charlotte and Caroline Krichmar of The Woodlands, Texas; and a sister, Margaret Markey Biase of Norwalk, Connecticu­t; as well as cousins.

After a Funeral Mass at St. Killian’s Roman Catholic Church in Mission Viejo, California, Mr. Markey was interred in Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forrest, California.
