Scene…Sherry and LeGrande Young, parents of GHS graduate and NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young stopped by the Greenwich Historical Society last week to view memorabili­a from Young’s remarkable football career on display at the Historical Society’s “Sports! More Than Just a Game” exhibition. A 1980 graduate of Greenwich High School, Young won two MVP awards and a Super Bowl Championsh­ip for the San Francisco 49ers. On view through Sept. 3, the exhibition features exclusive memorabili­a, historic sporting equipment and personal effects from some of America’s most celebrated athletes who made their homes in Greenwich. Scene… Former neighbors and fellow actors Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon are starring in a new romantic comedy “Maybe I Do” along with actors William H. Macy and Diane Keaton. Gere and Sarandon lived near each other in Pound Ridge, N.Y., until Gere and his wife Alejandra moved nearby to North Salem, N.Y. Gere and Sarandon also starred together in the 2004 romantic comedy “Shall We Dance.”

Scene… NBA legend and Purchase, N.Y., resident Isiah Thomas was seen at Tony’s at the J HOUSE on East Putnam Avenue in Riverside on Tuesday night. Thomas’ latest venture, Isiah Imports, joined forces with Thomas Cheurlin and Cheurlin Champagne introducin­g it to the U.S., and last week to Greenwich Restaurant Week at the J HOUSE.

Scene… Katonah, N.Y. resident and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart will feature three local businesses from Mount Kisco, N.Y.; Katonah and Port Chester, N.Y., on Season Two of her Roku channel cooking show “Martha Cooks” on April 3. The show will feature Stewart baking round croissants with baker David Chiappinel­li at Bella’s Bake Shop in Mount Kisco, making sourdough at Anne Mayhew's LMNOP Bakery in Katonah and chocolate making at Mast Market in Mount Kisco.

Scene… Late-night talk show host and comedian

Conan O'Brien was seen at Sally’s Apizza on Wooster Street in New Haven last week. O’Brien owns a summer home in Rhode Island which belonged to his parents Thomas and Ruth O'Brien.

Scene… Elm Street Diner in Stamford, which was featured on The Cooking Channel’s Food Paradise, is opening a second location in Norwalk at the Waypointe apartment complex on West Avenue which houses the likes of Barcelona Wine Bar, Haruki Ramen & Izakaya and Sedona Taphouse. The new eatery expects to open later in the year.

Scene… The Ridgefield Playhouse is featuring an evening with New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone and Yankees GM Brian Cashman at7 p.m. April 17 as part of the Hearst Media Entertaini­ng Conversati­on Series. Author and sports marketer Brandon Steiner will host the two managers in conversati­on about leadership and team building. An audience Q & A will take place afterward.
