12 CIAC GIRLS GOLFERS TO WATCH
Olivia Dahn, St. Paul, Jr.: Returning GameTimeCT All-State second team selection placed 12th at last season’s CIAC Division II state championship meet. Aoife Devaney, Waterbury co-op, Jr.: Was the runner-up in the 2022 Division I state championship meet and fourth at the State Open. Qualified for the U.S. Junior last summer. Returning GameTimeCT All-State selection.
Anna DeSanto, Hall, Jr.: Two-time GameTimeCT All-State pick had the state’s best scoring differential in 2022 (2.5). Placed second at the CCC tournament and fourth at the State Open.
Libby Dunn, Berlin, Sr.: Reigning GameTimeCT Player of the Year returns to an experienced Berlin squad trying to repeat as Division II state champions. Shared medalist laurels in the meet with teammate Kenna Roman.
Samantha Dunn, Berlin, So.: Tied for third in the Division II state championship meet, placed fifth in the CCC meet and tied for seventh at the State Open to earn a spot on the GameTimeCT AllState team.
Sydney Hidalgo, Cheshire, Sr.: Finished third at both the SCC meet and the State Open. A member of last year’s GameTimeCT All-State team, Hidalgo has committed to play college golf at Stonehill.
Laniah Moffett, Waterbury co-op, Jr.: Finished third in the CIAC Division I state championship meet. Also a returning GameTimeCT All-State pick, Moffett won the Borck Junior tournament last summer.
Meredith Norton, Hall, Sr.: Placed seventh at the CIAC Division I state championship meet last season.
Morgan Peterson, Glastonbury, Jr.: Finished with a 2.85 stroke differential and is the reigning CCC champion. Also finished fifth at the State Open and tied for fifth at the Division I state championship meet.
Kenna Roman, Berlin, Sr.: One of three Redcoats on last year’s GameTimeCT All-State team, Roman shared medalist laurels at the Division II state championship meet with teammate Libby Dunn. Has committed to play college golf at Stonehill.
Izzy Thomas, Lauralton Hall, Sr.: The runner-up at last year’s SCC championship meet, Thomas placed fifth in the 2022 CIAC Division II state championship meet.
Amanda Vigano, New Canaan, Jr.: Last year’s medalist at the FCIAC meet. tied for fifth at the CIAC Division I state championship meet.
