‘Above and beyond’ for clients
Joe Balestriere has known William Raveis Real Estate husband and wife team, Susan and Steven Hanson, since he was in kindergarten and when the opportunity to join their team came about soon after he graduated college in upstate New York, he jumped at the opportunity.
ARealtor for nine years, Balestriere’s entire career has been in William Raveis’ Norwalk offices.
Being part of the five-member Hanson Realty Group, where his brother Chris is also amember, has been a pure joy, Balestriere said. It’s also been somewhat of a goldmine.
“We are No. 1 in Norwalk,” said Balestriere, aNorwalk native. “Basically, we dominated last year. We really do go above and beyond for our clients. We give great advice and we are very persistent.”
Each member of the team, Balestriere said, has their own strengths.
People should call him when looking to buy or sell a home, he said, “because it’s a matter of disclosure, trust and honesty with me. I like to manage people’s expectations. I try and get people to be the most informed they can be possible be and then they can make the most educated decision.”
Susan Hanson, Balestriere said, “considers herself the upstairs person. She is able to have the vision of how the home can look great.”
On the other hand, Steve Hanson, he said, “is the type to make sure everything under the hood is working. He was an engineer and is able to do high-level inspections.”
His brother, Balestriere said, “is an actor and his biggest strength is having the patience to really help buyers find what they are look
ing for.”
Last year, the team closed about $32 million and Balestriere said about half of that was his. And, most of the transactions, or about 75 percent, were in Norwalk.
While Norwalk is where most of his business is, Balestriere also covers all lower Fairfield County with special interest in other communities including Stamford, Trumbull and Fairfield.
Norwalk, Balestriere said, “has at least 10 really good quality restaurants that I frequent. The beaches are also a big attraction and the downtown has a lot of parks and quiet areas. There are also two public beaches.”
