Amanda Acabchuk, RHAM: The senior setter kicked off the season with a 37-assist performanc­e in the Raptors’ five-set win over South Windsor. She also had a combined 53 assists in back-to-back shutouts against Tolland and EO Smith.

Emma Appleman, Guilford: Appleman has racked up 67 kills in the first five matches, all shutout victories for the Indians. That includes 17 kills against Hamden, and she also has 24 digs and 12 aces overall.

Skyler Blackinton, Avon: The senior outside hitter leads the Falcons with 66 digs and 48 kills through five matches. That includes an outstandin­g effort against Farmington on Oct, 2, when Blackinton collected 20 digs, 17 kills and three aces in a 3-1 win.

Aerin Bowman, Darien: The junior middle collected 36 kills during the Blue Wave’s back-to-back victories over New Canaan to start the season. She also totaled eight blocks and six aces in those wins.

Ali Castro, Trumbull: The three-year starting setter has 142 assists, 39 digs, and 8 assists as the Eagles are off to a 3-1 start this year. She’s had at least 21 assists in every match, including 85 in a two-match split against Ludlowe.

Ana Castro-Rodriguez, Masuk: The Panthers’ senior setter has amassed 133 assists over 14 sets in four Masuk wins. That includes a high of 41 in a 3-1 win over Joel Barlow on Oct. 7.

Zoe Lowe, Bristol Eastern: The senior hitter collected 37 kills, 24 aces, and 24 digs during the Lancers’ first three matches of the season. That included a performanc­e of 20 kills and 17 digs in a 3-1 win over Bristol Central, and 15 aces in a shutout of Plainville.

Marissa Mayhew, Woodstock Academy: Mayhew, who has shifted from setter to libero this season, racked up 82 digs in the Centaurs’ first three matches. That includes 38 in a four-set loss to Griswold.

Gabby Price, Ludlowe: Price, a junior setter, has 82 assists, 42 digs, and 6 aces during the Falcons’ first four matches. She had a combined 50 assists in consecutiv­e victories over Class LL champion Trumbull, and town rival Warde.

Kendall Schloz, Wilton: Schloz racked up 14 kills, 7 digs, and 3 aces as the Warriors upended Ridgefield in five sets on Oct. 6. The match gave Wilton revenge for a seasonopen­ing loss to the Tigers four days earlier.

Vana Servos, Westhill: The Vikings’ senior setter had 35 assists, 11 digs and 3 kills in a four-set win over city foe Stamford on opening day.

Anya Stanton, Warde: Stanton dished out 63 assists in the Mustangs first three contests this season. Her top performanc­e came in a season-opening five-set win over FCIAC champion Ludlowe, when Stanton had 30 assists, 10 digs, and 6 aces.

Avery Theriault, Conard: Theriault has done a bit of everything for Conard, collecting 35 kills, 14 aces and 19 digs in four shutout wins. That includes 10 kills, 5 aces and 8 digs against Enfield in the opener.
