Margaret Vitti Buzzeo, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away at Stamford Hospital on Friday, December 11, 2020. She was born on March 14, 1923 and was one of seven children born to the late Raffaele and Angela (Caruso) Vitti. She was 97 years old at the time of her passing.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Buzzeo, and is survived by her son, Anthony Buzzeo; daughter, Lorraine Pace and her husband, Daniel; seven grandchild­ren, Robert, Jr., Bryan, Jessica, Kari, T.J., Samantha and Michael; 10 great grandchild­ren; daughterin-law, Patricia Buzzeo; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was predecease­d by her son, Robert Buzzeo and her six siblings; Titi, Tony, Congetta, Lucy, Bill and Ralph.

Friends and family may offer their sympathy and condolence­s from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, December 15th at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue,

Stamford, CT 06902. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 16th at 9:30am at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, in Stamford. The interment will immediatel­y follow mass at St. John Cemetery in Darien.

In accordance with the social restrictio­ns due to COVID-19, please be sure to wear a face covering and observe distancing standards if you plan on coming to the services at funeral home or to church.
