Patricia C. Doumas passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 in Ridgefield, CT. Though she continued to own the family home in Wilton, CT since 1969, she had moved to an assisted living community.

Pat was born May 26, 1929 and grew up in the Bronx, NY. As a sixteen year old Roosevelt High School valedictor­ian, she went to Barnard College where she graduated in 1949 with a degree in physics, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Having taken many courses at Columbia University, she was hired upon graduation by William A.M. Burden & Company, a private investment firm. At a time when almost no women became a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (now CFA Society NY), on July 1, 1952, and was made a Lifetime Member in 2009.

Pat married John J. Doumas in 1951, a loving and committed partnershi­p until his passing in 2010. She had paused her business career to be a beloved mother to Tricia and then Susan, through moves from Westcheste­r, NY to Woodbridge, CT, Leawood, Kansas, Rochester, Michigan and then to Wilton, CT.

In the early 1980’s, Pat returned to work at GTE (Verizon) Investment Management which managed the corporate pension fund. During that time, she also earned her MBA in the NYU Executive Program and her Chartered Financial Analyst designatio­n. Pat traveled on business in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia and South America. She retired as a Director of the Pension Fund.

Pat and John enjoyed various activities together in retirement, including family, travel, music and fine dining. One of their favorite trips was a yearly visit to Charlottes­ville, VA where Pat was one of a select group of graders for the global CFA exams through 2009.

Pat was predecease­d by her husband, John J. Doumas. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia I. Doumas, daughter Susan Kaster, son-in-law Kevin Kaster, and granddaugh­ter Kimberly Kaster.

Visiting hours are 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday January 21 at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk, CT. Church service is at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 22 at Our Lady of Fatima in Wilton, CT. Burial will follow at Bald Hill Cemetery in Wilton, CT.
