ROCHESTER, NY: Died May 8, 2021 at age 78, after a courageous and protracted battle with Diffuse Large Bcell Lymphoma.

Jeanne was a loyal and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College and master’s from Penn State. She worked for more than 35 years as a speech pathologist and special education teacher in the Greenwich, CT school system before retiring and moving to Rochester to be closer to her grandchildren. She was active in the lay leadership of two parishes she attended, Our Lady Star of the Sea in Stamford, CT and Blessed Sacrament of Rochester. She helped to lead Blessed Sacrament’s hugely popular fundraiser the Next-to-New Sale. She was also active in the alumnae chapter of her sorority, Phi Mu, and the Rochester Alumnae Panhellenic. Never one to sit around, she was a stellar cook, avid gardener, life-long learner and world traveler. Her skill with a sewing machine, knitting needles and needlepoint kept her numerous family and friends well-stocked with thoughtful gifts made with her personal touch. Her unfailing love and support will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind her son David Tyler (Marlisa Post) of Rochester, her sister Suzi Rook, of Rochester, her brother Robert Rook (Cathi), of Fort Mill, S.C., and her grandchildren Zachary and Abigail.
