On Sunday January 2, 2022, Carmella Inzitari Mallozzi, loving daughter, sister, aunt,mother, grandmothe­r, great-grandmothe­r and wife passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Carmella was born on November 12, 1932 in Stamford to Frank and Mary Inzitari.

She worked at Machletts and Woolworths but her true calling was taking care of all of her grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews. She was an amazing cook and everyone was always welcomed into her home with a cup of espresso and an anisette cookie. She was a light in everyone’s life and will be truly missed.

Carmella was married for 64 years to Angelo Mallozzi of Stamford; they have two daughters, Virginia Verrastro and Angela Carella (Dave). She is also survived by her four grandchild­ren Jennifer Mocarski (Prez), Jessica Santos (Alex), Angelo Carella, and David Carella Jr. and two greatgrand­children Andrew Mocarski and Leni Santos. Other survivors include her sister-in-laws Emily Inzitari, Angie Inzitari, and Erminia Mallozzi and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predecease­d by her siblings, Angelina Pinto (Larry). Michael Inzitari (Antionette), Ralph Inzitazi (Gloria), Frank Inzitari (Vincenza), Victor Inzitari, and Albert Inzitari and In-Laws Antonio Mallozzi (Elda), Nella Zinicola (Alessandro), Adelina Pensiero (Arnaldo), Maria Diorio (Mario) her son-in-law Leonard Verrastro Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 6th, from 9am to 10:30 am at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11am at St. Maurice Catholic Church, 358 Glenbrook Road Stamford, CT. Her burial will follow at St. John RC Cemetery, in Darien, CT.
