Pamela D. McMahon of Monroe, CT passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 at the Regional Hospice Care Center of Danbury with her family by her side. Her passing followed an extended, courageous battle with cancer. She was 58 years old.

Pam was a loving wife and mother to her husband of 32 years, Brian, and to their three children, Kylie, Eric and Emily.

Born on January 22, 1964 in New Haven, Pam lived her childhood in Hamden, graduating from Hamden High School before attending UCONN where she met Brian and they fell in love. Upon graduating from UCONN in 1986, Pam began a career as a Physical Therapist that spanned 33 years, during which time she worked for Norwalk Hospital, Rehabilitation Associates, Inc., and The Stratford VNA.

Pam was known for her beautiful smile, quick wit and undeniably sassy spirit. She loved to read, cook, and tend to the herbs and flowers in her garden. She especially enjoyed the many vacations spent with family and friends over the years.

Friendship and Pam’s inherently caring nature were at the heart of who she was. She developed and maintained countless, lasting friendships from across every phase of her life. She cherished her time spent with family and friends, never more so than during the final months of her life when she needed them most. Pam touched the hearts of everyone who knew her by the grace, strength and courage she showed during her battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband and children, Pam is survived by her father, Donald DeLorenzo, of Hamden, and mother, Virginia DeLorenzo of Boynton Beach, FL.; her sisters, Kristine White (Bernie) of Branford and Stacey Vancho ( James) of Stamford; and brother, Mark DeLorenzo of Atlanta; and an extended family of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00-6:00 on Monday, May 9th at Spadaccino / Gallagher Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe and followed immediately thereafter by a Memorial Service. A private interment service for family will be held at a later date.
