Theresa Marie Furnari

Theresa Marie Furnari, 90, a resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Theresa was born in 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, but called Stamford her home for the last 45 years. She was a graduate of Commercial High School in Brooklyn, and upon graduation, followed her passion and went to work in the fashion and travel industries in New York City.

Theresa was married to Luigi for 67 years and is survived by her three children, Louis, Robert, and Susan, as well as her daughter-inlaw, Lina, and five grandchildren, Michael, Michele, Alexa, Zackary, and Cayla. Theresa enjoyed traveling, and when not tending to her family, could be found in some far off land or planning her next adventure with her husband. Theresa was an amazing cook and loved to try out her latest recipe on friends and family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.

Theresa lived a long and remarkable life. She was an inspiration to those whose lives were touched by her generosity and kindness. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held immediately afterwards at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 124 Rock Rimmon Road, Stamford, CT.
