Thomas Michael Hynes Sr., a loving husband, father, brother and grandfathe­r, died peacefully on June 14, 2022. He was a 46-year resident of Greenwich.

He was born October 2, 1940 in Chicago, IL, to the late Margaret (Farrell) and Patrick J. Hynes Jr. He was a 1958 graduate of St. Ignatius High School and attended Loyola University in Chicago. He began working for his parent's florist business, Farrell Hynes Florist, in Chicago at a young age. He was a marketing executive with Hilton Internatio­nal for over 25 years and ended his career in the automotive sales industry. He moved with his wife and four children to Riverside in 1976.

He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed travelling, dining out and spending time with his family and friends.

He was predecease­d by his loving wife of 45 years, Marlaine, who passed away in 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Carole and her husband Michael Colabella of Darien; a son, Joseph of New Canaan; a daughter, Suzanne and her husband Michael O'Neill of Towson, MD; a son, Thomas Jr. and his wife Christine of Lakewood Ranch, FL; eight beloved grandchild­ren; his longtime companion, Minnie Manuli; a brother, John Hynes; a sister, Marlene Ryan; and also predecease­d by his brother, Patrick Hynes III.

Visitation will be Monday June 20, 2022 from 5pm-8pm at the Castiglion­e Funeral Home in Greenwich, CT.

A Mass of the Resurrecti­on will be on Tuesday June 21, 2022 at 10am at St. Marys Church in Greenwich, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital via www.stamfordho­spital.org
