New York Comedy Club set to open Feb. 11
The New York Comedy Club’s Stamford location has completed renovations and now has set the date for its grand opening and first shows: Feb. 11.
The full-time comedy club is opening at Stamford’s Town Center at 100 Greyrock Pl, taking over the former Plan B Burger space. The Stamford location, announced by the club back in June 2022, is the venue’s third location and its first location outside of Manhattan.
The 4,500 square-foot comedy club is opening with room for a little over 200 people and a full-service bar.
The club plans host shows weekly, Wednesday through Saturday. It has already sold out both of its opening night shows on Feb. 11, which will feature comedians Paul Virzi, Chuck Nice, Ashley Austin Morris and Subhah Agarwal. Additionally, the club is actively selling tickets for upcoming dates, February through May.
Featured comedians on the schedule currently include Chris DiStefano from MTV’s “Guy Code and Girl Code,” Mark Normad who has appeared on late-night comedy shows like Conan, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Calise Hawkins, a writer on “That Damn Michael Che.”
The club will also host open mic nights for community members to give their best comedy a go, and will also be available for private event bookings.
The New York Comedy Club was eyeing different locations in Stamford, but settled on the Town Center location as its was easier to execute necessary renovations.
