GAMES TO WATCH Wilton at BBD (Danbury Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.:
Ice), At this writing, BBD sits just on the right side of the Division III playoff cutline (but had a game Tuesday night). Wilton sat one point behind the IceCats on the other side of that line.
Darien at Notre Dame-West Haven (Bennett), Wednesday, 8 p.m.:
The second rematch of the 2022 Division I championship game. Notre Dame won 3-2 in their first meeting late last month. The Blue Wave and Green Knights both had stunning losses to rivals in the past week and a half but both bounced back with victories.
Wethersfield at North Haven (Northford), Saturday, 8 p.m.:
Rematch Week continues (unfortunately Newington and Conard finished their season series a couple of weeks ago) with the 2022 Division II ttle-game replay. Both had long winning streaks undone this month. Both have come back with solid wins against solid Division II teams.
Simsbury at Northwest Catholic (ISCC), Saturday, 6:45 p.m.:
There’s only so much you can do in a league with five Division II teams, but that leaves only half these teams’ schedules for Division I foes. No. 6 Simsbury has handled them better than co-No. 8 Northwest Catholic, including an 8-4 win in their first meeting.
FCIAC Prelims, Saturday: St. Joseph at New Canaan (Darien Ice), 2 p.m.; Greenwich at Ridgefield (Winter Garden), 8:30 p.m.: Darien and Fairfield have byes to next Wednesday’s semifinals. The final is March 4.
