Yolanda Bisaillon-Rondano

-

On February 15, 1940 Yolanda Mallozzi stormed the world in the midst of an epic blizzard. Born to Ernest and Olympia Mallozzi in their home on Rose Park Ave. She remained a lifelong Stamford resident. Yolanda Bisaillon Rondano, 83, passed away on March 7, 2023.

Lana was the baby of

9 and loved her siblings dearly. Being the youngest she was used to getting what she wanted and was often known to ask for a cookie. Hence the name that many knew her by ..... ”Cookie”.

She was strong and determined and a single mom in the 70’s. As a teen she helped her mother and father with their family grocery store, Mallozzi’s Market, in a predominantly Italian neighborhood on the West Side of Stamford. She spent her career working for more than 25 years in the accounting division at Xerox Corporation. She was a ray of sunshine and loved to laugh and plan gatherings for her family and friends. These were events you didn’t want to miss...she knew how to have fun and throw a great party. She would often meet you at the door with a dazzling smile, her big blue eyes and a glass of prosecco.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Rondano, her angel here on earth. Yolanda leaves behind 3 children, Audette Bisaillon of Stamford, CT, Noel (Doriza) of Columbia, CT and Maurice Bisaillon of Chicago, IL. Five grandchildren, Olympia (Laura) Servedio, Jayme Antonetti, Reece Antonetti,

Taylor Bisaillon and Dylan Bisaillon. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Betty Mallozzi. Aunt Cookie’s children would like you all to know she was deeply grateful for these phone conversations which gave her comfort and kept her connected to her siblings. She was predeceased by her parents and 7 siblings. She lost Benedetta (Tootsie), Carmella, Ernest Jr., Joe, Orlando (Lonnie), Leroy and Willie. Survived by her brother Raymond.

Family and friends may gather in her memory at the Lacerenza Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. A prayer service will commence at 11:30 a.m. This will be followed by a funeral procession for interment at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lana’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
