Natalie Sorbo

-

Natalie Sorbo (“Nan”), 83, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023, surrounded by her family and her loving husband (Ralph) of 64 years. Natalie was born on December 24, 1939, to the late Michael and Pasqualina Totilo.

Natalie is survived by her three children: Pattiann and her husband (David Sottini, Sr.), Phyllis and her husband (Andrew Annunziata), and Paul and his wife (Michele).

Also surviving are her grandchildren: David Jr. and his wife (Brittany) and their children (Owen, Finley, and Westlyn), Daniel and his partner (Samantha) and their children (Sadie and Cody), Stephani and her dog (Marley), Ashley and her husband (Dominick) and their children (Mia and Leo), Tyler and his fiancée (Nicole), Paulie, Justin and Ryan.

Natalie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her beloved family, for whom she had an overwhelming love and generous heart. Her truly greatest joy was spending time with them (though watching the New York Yankees was a close second). She was endlessly creative and had a wonderful gift for crafts. Each winter she transformed her living room into a breathtaking Christmas village whose every detail could be admired for hours on end. She kept a beautifully warm home where everyone gathered and all were welcome. You would either find her in her garden or her kitchen, and knew you were at Nan's by the smell of flowers (or the smell of sauce). Natalie always put others ahead of herself. Her heart was pure and her love was deeply felt. She was the light in the room— she was the matriarch of her family.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 23 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Natalie's memory to Pennsylvania State University's THON Children's Cancer Organization (Ryan Sorbo - donate.thon.org), or to the St. Jude Children's Foundation (stjude.org).
