Antonio Pimpinella, 92, passed away peacefully, at home, on March 23, 2024. Antonio was born on March 9, 1932, in Santa Maria Infante, Minturno, Italy, to the late Michele and Rosina Pensiero Pimpinella.

Antonio served in the Italian Army. In 1961, he arrived in America. He worked as a sheet metal worker for Metro North Railroad for 26 years and was a member of the Minturnese Social Club for over 30 years. He loved his family very much and it always brought him so much joy to be surrounded by them. He was an avid gardener and was very proud of his large vegetable and flower gardens. He loved being outdoors and taking his 5 mile daily walks. He also loved to dance. He had his wife, daughters, granddaugh­ters, and nieces on the dance floor all night at every wedding and party.

Antonio is survived by his loving daughters, Rosamaria DiPreta (Domenico), Lisa Comunale (Pat) and Karen Uva (Tony), his cherished grandchild­ren, Amanda (Maciej), Nicola (Erica), Alexa (Ted), Sabrina and Michael, his adored greatgrand­children, Luke, Evan, Stella and Ted Joseph. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Maria Mastroluca and Giuseppa Mallozzi, and his cherished nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Antonio was predecease­d by his beloved wife of 58 years, Grace, his sister, Eufemia Pimpinella, his brother, Umberto Pimpinella, and his beloved grandson, Joseph Comunale.

In the last year and a half of his life, Antonio was lovingly cared for by his daughter, Karen, and sonin-law, Tony, in their home. Their care and devotion to him was incredible.

Family and friends will be received on April 1, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Funeral Mass will be held on April 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo’s Church, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT. Burial will immediatel­y follow at St. Mary/Putnam Cemetery, 399 North Street, Greenwich.
