Tom’s enjoyed his time on Blue Bloods. “He has a lot of control,” says an insider. “The show does well, and it’s a fascinating character to play.”

But nothing beats life on the ranch. Tom and Jillie are hands-on with maintenance and upkeep. “They tend to over 1,500 avocado and various trees there,” says the insider. “And there are numerous animals, which they love to care for.”

Handyman Tom is always tinkering around the sprawling Ventura property. “He’s constantly building and patching things up,” the insider says. “It never seems to end, but he likes it that way.” Of course, it’s not all hard work and sweat. “There’s a tennis court, stables, corrals, a heliport, a swimming pool, a three-hole putting course and a practice green,” says the insider.

And lockdown gave Tom and Jillie even more time to spend on the ranch. “They’d spend hours outdoors to stay in shape, then watch movies in their home theater and see the kids. They always had plenty to do!”

TELLING ALL

Tom’s also been keeping busy working on his highly anticipated memoir, which is set to include bombshell secrets even his most ardent followers don’t know. “There have been lots of rumors about his love life,” says the insider. “Everyone speculates on who he did kiss — but he’ll talk about who he didn’t!” The book will be a fitting capper to a legendary career. “He’s writing it for his fans,” the insider says. “He feels like he’s accomplished what he wanted — he’s had a full life away from the showbiz machine,” the insider adds. “Now he wants to give back.”
