Succession’s writers code named it “Larry David,” more than 100 extras were sworn to secrecy: Everyone involved in patriarch Logan Roy’s death on the third episode of the HBO hit’s fourth and final season went to extreme lengths to keep the plot twist under wraps. They even had Logan (Brian Cox) attend his own funeral! Admitting that he’s “hopeless at keeping secrets,” Brian, 76, revealed that he purposely showed up for the shoot at NYC’s St. Ignatius Loyola church to throw off fans and photographers. The idea was to shoot a scene with him that would never air, but when filming took longer than expected he was told to stand down. “I thought, no, I’ve got to go,” said Brian, adding that, as expected, photogs were “clicking away.” He added, “If I hadn’t done that, it would’ve been right in the s**t, I tell you!”
