MILEY TURNS ON HER FANS!

AFTER SCORING A NO. 1 HIT, THE SINGER REVEALS WHY SHE WON’T BE TOURING ANYTIME SOON.

-

Fans eager to catch Miley Cyrus singing hits like “Flowers” live have had their hopes nipped in the bud. In a recent interview, the 30-year-old declared that she will no longer tour. “I can’t,” she told British Vogue. “Not only ‘can’t,’” she added for emphasis, “because ‘can’t’ is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?”

The Nashville native last hit the road in 2014, playing in huge arenas in front of adoring crowds. That vibe has lost its appeal. “Singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love,” the two-time Grammy nominee told the mag. “There’s no connection. There’s no safety.” She continued, “It’s also not natural. It’s so isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people, then you are alone.”

Instead, the former Hannah Montana star is prioritizing her own mental health. “She insists this is what she had to do for her own greater good,” an insider tells Star. “Her well-being is what matters most now — not flogging herself to a point of discomfort.” (Star had previously reported that Miley was distraught over the divorce of her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus.) As the “Wrecking Ball” singer explained in the interview, “I make choices that I’m proud of that protect me... I put my mental and physical health before a paycheck.”

Still, some lucky viewers might get a chance to hear tunes off Endless Summer Vacation live. “Miley’s still keen to perform in smaller venues,” reveals the insider. “Maybe she’ll even put on a surprise unplugged kind of gig when she’s in the mood.”
