Facing facts and enemies

-

How do you know what's true? Based on experiences? Based on authoritative sources? Can you believe your eyes these days? “A man believes what he wants to believe and disregards the rest.”

What's going on in the Middle East? I've been reading Jay Sekulow's latest book, “Unholy Alliance: The Agenda Iran, Russia, and Jihadists Share for Conquering the World.” Sekulow, an American attorney and Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law & Justice, lays out a historical and pragmatic case linking Iran, Russia, and jihadists in an almost biblical way. (See Ezekiel's chapters 37–39.)

American progressives and political correctness police, particularly in politics, media and academia, reiterate ad nauseum that 21st Century diplomacy can resolve conflicts in the Middle East. The rest of us prepare to defend ourselves from people who want to kill us. We know Iranians, Russians, and jihadists don't like us and want to conquer us and the world. It's difficult to negotiate with someone who wants to conquer you. Remember, Islam means “submission.”

Sekulow wrote, “The war we now face is a fundamental one. Democracy is a product of Western societal values that prize the individual and individual freedom. The very idea of a form of government in which power is vested in the people, who rule through their freely chosen representatives, is at odds with Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures in which the only sovereign is Allah. Because Allah alone is sovereign, man may not change Allah's rules. There can be no room left for religious liberty or pluralism. Contrary manmade laws have no place in such a society.” He continues, “Thus from the Islamic perspective, a democratic system of government is a direct affront to Allah's supremacy.”

In case you missed Islamic terrorists' attacks in Orlando, San Bernardino, Chattanooga, Philadelphia, Boston, Fort Hood….

The war is here in America. President Obama and Hillary Clinton deny this. Mr. Obama abandoned the Middle East and Northern Africa into hands of jihadists. Mrs. Clinton abandoned Benghazi. Do you have family members in the military or foreign service?

Sekulow simplifies the problem. “The situation is complicated because two philosophies are involved: 1) the ideology of Islamic revolutionary

jihad, and 2) the western ideology of tolerance. The heart of tolerance is the desire to not harm other people. The ideology of jihad is the exact opposite: a desire to harm billions of non-Muslims around the world.”

Mr. Obama has given billions of dollars to Iran, the leading state sponsor of Islamic terrorism in the world. What draws Iran, Russia, and jihadists together to fight this war? America, Israel, and the West. We are the common enemy. Iran and jihadists fight for Allah. Putin thinks he is Allah.

Sekulow writes, “Calling an act of terrorism by its name is not Islamophobia. Identifying who committed the act is not Islamophobia. Trying to understand Islam is not Islamophobia, either. We must recognize what tolerance is – and what it is not. Telling the truth about radical jihadists is not being Islamophobic, nor is it intolerant – it is being honest. It's caring about saving lives. We must distinguish between commonsense analysis and irrational hatred.”

Politically correct progressives in politics, media and academia are enabling an unholy alliance to commit wholesale atrocities daily around the world, and are sanctioning and welcoming bad actors into our communities. We are living in deadly times. It's time to acknowledge the truth and face our enemies.
