With an influx of people expected on graduation weekend, local restaurants plan to share an array of specials with diners on May 6 and May 7.

Commodore Bob’s Yacht Club specials include the flounder plate, Caleb Nabors, one of the owners, said. There will always be a Cinco de Mayo theme all weekend, with tacos, enchiladas and a carnita on the menu, all with Mexican-style rice and corn. There will also be chips and salsa or queso with the specials.

There is a possibility that Bin 612 might run some drink specials for visitors during the weekend of May 5 and May 6, general manager Zach Moore said.

City Bagel Italian Bistro’s pasta for the weekend will be house-made raviolis stuffed with ground fontina cheese

and ricotta, and finished in a housemaid walnut pesto cream sauce, Dillon Han, the cafe’s chef, said.

“We’re trying to create a traditional Italian bistro feel with full-flavored, researched Italian food,” Han said.

Stromboli’s Italian Eatery will have a 12-inch, one-topping to-go special, and also plans to offer specials on their cookie dough bites, said Leigh

Mabry, a waitress at Stromboli’s.

The Veranda will have two special entrees at reduced prices. The entres will be the Atlantic King Salmon and the Duroc Tomahawk Pork Chop. The dessert special is the Tammy Jones Apple Dumplings, served with ice cream, and the appetizer special will be bruschetta, said Assistant Manager Andy Thornton.
