The Around Town calendar is a free service offered by the Starkville Daily News. The calendars runs daily as space allows. Announcements should be submitted via e-mail to life@starkvilledailynews.com by 2 p.m. the day prior to publication and be no more than 50 words in length. Religious events will be listed Saturdays on the Faith page. Recurring events will run on Sundays only. One-time events will run Monday through Friday.

Alcoholics Anonymous — Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet every Saturday at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church

Casserole Kitchen — The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection hosts a casserole kitchen every Saturday at Parish hall at 11:30 a.m.

On the Grill at Parker-McGill — Parker-McGill Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will host a weekly “On the Grill” every Saturday. Free food will be provided and visitors can meet the Parker-McGill staff

Plant Sale — A Plant Sale will be held 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Starkville Community Market. This is the first of two to be scheduled by the Oktibbeha County Volunteers. A wide array of plants including annuals, perennials, herbs, etc. will be available. Sale proceeds will support scholarship awards

Annual Membership Meeting — The Memorial Gardens Cemetery will have its annual membership meeting on May 20 at 9 a.m. All members are encouraged to attend
